A dedicated group of volunteers with the goal of maintaining and improving forest health by removing overly dense clusters of mistletoe from native tree species.
Mistletoe Warriors was founded on October 25, 2013 by Lyn and Scott in response to the infestation of mistletoe in the Keller Peak area of the San Bernardino Mountains. Lyn has been diligently removing mistletoe for over four years before the group formed.
Our first day of mistletoe eradication, as a group, was November 10, 2013. See the page Nov. 10, 2013 for photos.
Come and give back to our threatened forest. Learn the ins & outs of the biology and removal of this out-of-control parasite.
Bring appropriate clothing, lunch and water. Gloves and tools will be provided.
